The Piano Technician

In 2007, under the apprenticeship of Don Komorski, MPT. Master Piano Technician, I began servicing pianos.. I continue to service over 400 Pianos. More than a vocation of self employment, I strive to have people’s instruments inspire them to sit and play music. An un-tuned piano can really be challenging to listen to. A tuned piano allows the listener and artist to hear the piano’s duplex scales sympathetically ring out, allowing for more musical overtones to sound overall.

With 88 Notes on the piano, it is one of technician’s objectives to maintain uniformity of each key’s playability. Upon pressing a piano key down, there are at least fifty-six other components to making that note sound happen. It’s not rocket science or brain surgery so to speak, but there is a specific feel of a skillset to be learned for success.

I’m happy to help service your piano and you can contact me here for an appointment. Kindly, include your phone number in the message portion, where we can start a text thread. Mostly serving Northwest Illinois Suburbs and parts of WI.
